About this course
Designed for drivers moving into the transport, construction and mining sectors around Mwanza and the Lake Zone. Covers load distribution, air brake systems, long-vehicle turning, coupling and uncoupling a trailer, mountain descents and daily vehicle inspection. A valid Class B licence is required before you upgrade.

- Training on a real cargo truck, not a simulator
- Air brake and pre-trip inspection routines
- Coupling, uncoupling and trailer reversing
- Load securing and weight distribution
- Route planning for Lake Zone long-distance work
Entry requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class B licence held for at least one year
- National ID and four passport-size photographs
- Medical fitness certificate
A note on government fees
The training fee covers your lessons, learning materials and use of our vehicles. TRA charges its own fees for the theory test, practical test and licence issuance. Our registrar will give you the current TRA amounts when you register.
